Pushing Landed Cost into Purchase price

I am hoping I can find a way to automatically update my purchase price in the item with the new landed cost.  We don't update our selling price with every change to purchase price but I'd like to always have an updated whole purchase price.  We keep track of moving margins and update pricing when needed.

Hello LMDFAITH,

Welcome to the Community. QuickBooks is a flexible program that helps you streamline your accounting with ease. I'll be happy to steer you in the right direction so you can get back to doing what you enjoy.

The automated function you've described above isn't available in QuickBooks. You're more than welcome to send feature requests by clicking on the Help menu and looking for Send Feedback Online. New product ideas and improvements are largely based on the feedback we get from users like you. In the meantime, I recommend looking into third-party apps on our site desktop.apps.com. I recommend choosing an app that suits your business needs based on the app description/reviews.

Let me know if you have other questions by leaving a comment below. I'll be here.

Is there a report that I can see both the landed cost and sell price of each item?

I recommend looking into the inventory reports offered in the program and customizing them in order to view the info you'd like to view. Here's a helpful article that shows you how to: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop. Feel free to ask other questions.
