Question

QB error when adjusting tax

QB Desktop for MAC.  It has stopped allowing me to adjust the total GST at the bottom of the form.  Apparently a known issue and "engineers are working hard on it".  Meantime, two weeks later I cannot enter anything my bookkeeping that requires a tax adjustment.

Hey DaveK39,

The behaviour you've described is unusual. One of the most important features in QuickBooks is the ease it adds to filing your taxes, so I want to make sure we get to the bottom of this as quickly as possible. Currently, the Mac version of our Desktop product is only available in the US, so we'd need a few more details to figure out the root cause of this issue. You can read about our support policies here: Intuit QuickBooks Desktop software support policies.

Don't hesitate to get in touch! I want to make sure we know what's going on.

CORRECTION:  I am using QB Online (not Desktop).

Hi there. It's important you're able to enter your tax adjustments so you can get back to doing what you enjoy. At this point, I recommend contacting our support team using this link for further assistance. One of our agents will be happy to give you a hand with looking into this issue.

Thanks, James.  QB "engineers are working hard on this problem" ... for at least a couple of weeks, according to your very friendly support staff.  I suggest that the engineers return the QB online tax thing to the state it was a month ago.  Worked fine then.
