RECEIPT CAPTURE & MANAGEMENT - QB Desktop Canada?

Hello,

 

I'm on subscription for QB Premiere Accountant Desktop 2021 Canada

I was excited to find this article, which reports that there is now Receipt Capture/Management capability in QBD:

But, my QBD does not show a Receipt Management option in the Vendor dropdown menu.

I've tried it from Accountant, and also by toggling to Premiere.

 

Please can you tell me what am I missing?

I appreciate the excitement about seeing this kind of feature available for QuickBooks Desktop, and it's helpful that you've shared the page where you saw the information about a receipt capture and management feature for the software. I've taken a peek at the page and can shed light on why you're not seeing these options in QuickBooks Desktop Premier Accountant edition for Canada.

 

When I read through the page you shared, what jumped out at me right away was that the feature being mentioned is available for QuickBooks Desktop Plus and Enterprise. QuickBooks Desktop Pro and Premier Plus are US versions of the software, and at this time the feature mentioned is not available for QuickBooks Desktop Canada, even the Canadian Enterprise edition.

 

What I recommend is submitting feedback to our product development team to let them know that you'd love for this to be available for Canada too and how it would help your workflow. Feel free to share the link as well so they can see exactly the feature you're referring to. You can share your thoughts and ideas by going to the Help menu in product and choosing Send Feedback Online.

 

In the meantime, you can also consider a third-party app that may be able to do what this feature does in its system while also transferring the data to your books afterward. Check out the Apps for QuickBooks Desktop page to see what apps are available to connect with the program. It's important to note that this page includes apps for the US and Canadian versions of the software, so I encourage you to use the details listed on an app's page to clarify if you can use it if it's not clear which product version it applies to.

 

In these sorts of situations, making sure the information you're seeing applies to the version of the software you're using is important.
