With the T5018 set up, QBO is asking for a first and last name (not company name) for all suppliers that I have checked off for T5018s, even for all companies (not individuals). I have the company name filled in but it is saying I also need a first and last name. Any advise?

Hello BP_accounting,

Setting up your T5018 can be a tricky process but don't worry, I'm here to give you a hand so you can maximize on the amazing benefits offered in QuickBooks.

To get started, it's vital you're following the correct steps for entering the T5018 supplier and here's how:

If you're setting up a new supplier, follow these steps here:

1. Click Suppliers from the Expenses menu.

2. Select the New Supplier button in the top-right.
3. Enter the required supplier information.
4. Click on Supplier Type (Individual or Business).
5. Select tracking for T4AT5018, or Do not Track. By default, Do Not Track is selected.
6. Select Save.

If you're adjusting an existing supplier, follow these steps here:

1. Click on Suppliers from the Expenses menu.

2. Navigate to an existing supplier.
3. Select Supplier Type (Individual or Business).
4. Select the T4A or T5018 option.
5. Select Save.

You can also adjust multiple suppliers using the Batch Actions feature from the Suppliers page. The first and last name is essential and you'd need to add that in in order to proceed. Check out this helpful article with more info on:
