Hi there,

It's vital that you're able to enter the billable expenses and include the markup.

First, you'd need to make sure the Billable Expenses feature in the turned on. Here's how:

  1.     Go to Settings ⚙, then select Account and Settings.
  2.     Go to the Expenses tab.
  3.     From the Bills and expenses section, select Edit ✎.
  4.     Select the following:
  •         Show Items table on expense and purchase forms
  •         Track expenses and items by customer
  •         Make expenses and items billable

   5.  (Optional) Set up the following:

  •         Markup rate
  •         Billable expense tracking
  •         Sales tax charge
  •         Bill payment terms

    7. Select Save, then Done.

If you're still having issues, I recommend uninstalling the app and reinstalling it again. Doing this will help refresh the app. Give this a try and let me know how you make out. I'll be on standby.

That is how it’s setup already (I get the markup added automatically when I enter a billable expense on my computer but not when I use the app)

i have removed the app and downloaded it again but no difference (when I check the expense on my desktop it says billable but the markup box is empty

Hi md_reno. After doing further research, the mobile app has some limitations and creating billable expenses with mark ups is one of them. In the meantime, I recommend using the web browser or Desktop app to accomplish this.
