Importing invoices not importing to default sales template

I saw the thread but am none the wiser.

Why wouldn't the uploaded information directly insert into the company template for sales, which is set as the default.  If this doesn't work then can QB add in another field on the import template  so we can add this in quickly and easily without having to manually go into each invoice to add it?

Is there any other work around?

    Hello there, @CBL2.

The fields when importing invoices are working as designed. Thus, adding another field for a sales template when importing invoices is currently unavailable.

I understand that you want to add another field to the import template. While this option isn't available, I suggest submitting feedback directly to our product engineers. They may look into this suggestion further and consider adding the option in QuickBooks Online (QBO). To submit feedback, you can go to the Gear icon and select Feedback. Then, enter your suggestion and click Submit Feedback.

You can also visit our Customer Feedback page. This will help you track the status of your product request and get the latest updates from our developers. Updates such as how the recent enhancement made to QBO helps our business owners, like you.
