Can my client who signed up for QBO Egypt add me as accountant? Because he couldn't see the options in the settings.

Hello there, @guererojpa.

 

Yes, your client can add you as an account for his company in QuickBooks Online. I'll guide you how.

 

Adding an accountant user on a QuickBooks Online account can be done in just a few clicks. Know that this option doesn't apply to the Simple Start subscription. It is only available to Essentials and Plus versions.

 

To do that:

  1. Click on the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Choose on Manage Users.
  3. Press on Add User.
  4. Select on Company admin.
  5. Check This user is my accountant. 
  6. Hit on Next.
  7. Enter the accountant's name and email address. 
  8. Tap on Save.

After that, you will receive an email with a link to sign in to your QBO company. Once you've accepted the invitation, your status will be changed from Invited to Active.

However, if the option is still not visible, I suggest accessing your account using a private window. This can help determine if the problem is browser-related.

 

Web-based platforms like QBO gather cache files for faster browsing. But too much can cause expected behavior like being unable to add an accountant on the account.
