QB Online in Mainland China

We have been using QB Desktop (Enterprise Services 2015) for almost 8 years and are now considering switching to the Cloud version. However we are based in mainland China and have a few concerns

Are there any users here who use Quickbooks Cloud in mainland China? If yes, would be great if you could share any experiences, especially with regards to

1) Speed in mainland China, as there are no QB servers hosted in China

2) Chinese language support, as not all of our accounting team can speak English and for those who do, using English is slow

3) Any other resources in China you would suggest

4) Want to go for a cup of tea in Beijing or Shanghai? We would love to share experiences.

Thanks and xiexie dajia

For Mainland China-based company, you may use QBO Global version for China

https://quickbooks.grsm.io/China

You may change the language setting to Chinese later in Gear > Account and Settings > Advanced > Language.

Currently company only provides native setting for QBO Hongkong version

https://quickbooks.grsm.io/HongKong-option

Your main issue will be the migration path. You can not migrate directly from QuickBooks Desktop to QBO Global version. You will need a migration tool, or purchasing a 3rd party conversion service.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for your interest in using QuickBooks Online (QBO), @UserChina.

Right now, there are many users in Mainland China who is using QBO. As for the speed of the system, it depends on your Internet connection and device used. Since QBO has an app for PC and mobile devices.

The language of Chinese is only available for Chinese version of QBO. And for the time being, the only resources is the articles that you can find online through the Community page

Please also know that as for the meantime, there is no QuickBooks Online for Accountant (QBOA) version in Chinese version. QBOA is the version where accountants can be ask and assist regular business owners.

You can get back to me anytime you have additional questions in QuickBooks by posting your response below. I'll do whatever it takes to ensure your concerns are addressed. Have a great day.

Hello Miriam,

thanks for the reply! I hope you dont mind me asking a few more questions:

1) How could we find an existing user of QB Online in mainland China? We have asked around a lot and nobody seems to have even heard of it. It would be very valuable for us to speak to someone who is actually using Quickbooks online in mainland China at the moment already.

2) Do you know where we could find more information about the QB Online Chinese version in Chinese? All the forum pages are only in English so not so useful for our Chinese staff. Is there a Chinese language forum, help pages or anything like this at all?

3) So far the only thing we could find is a reseller in Singapore. Do you know if there are re-sellers in mainland China or at least Hong Kong or Taiwan available?

Thanks for all your help and if you ever come by Beijing, we would love to invite you for a big Beijing duck and Tsingtao dinner :)

Thanks for getting back, @UserChina.

Yes, we do have a QuickBooks version for China. To find out more about this product, you can refer to this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/global/.

Regarding your question about finding a QBO user in China, we're unable to expose any personal information of the other users. However, I've already changed the country location of this question to global so that it can be easily found by other QBO users in your country.

This way, they can communicate with you through this thread. Additionally, this post might help if you need to get a simplified version of Chinese language in QBO: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-sg/other-questions/do-you-have-a-version-in-simple-chinese/00/384848.

Also, I'd really love to try your Beijing duck and Tsingtao dinner someday. Thank you for the invite :).

I'll be around to help If you need anything else or if you have follow-up questions. Have a nice day!
