So if you’re wanting to learn more about credit card processing fees, issuing partial refunds, setting up ACH accounts & more, then this Top 5 on Payments is just for you. Let’s dive in and take a peek at these questions! 1. Is there a way to automatically include the credit card processing fee to your invoices so that the customer gets charged? That’s a great question! To add a credit card processing fee to your invoice, you’ll first want to create a service item. From here you’ll then manually add it to your invoice. Here are the steps to follow: On the left navigational bar, go to the Sales tab. Choose Product & Service. Click on New then select Service. Enter the name of your service item. (Example CC Fee) Select the Income account you'd use to track the processing fees.

If so, then you’re in luck because today we will be going over some of the most talked about questions regarding Reports & Accounting here in our Community. So let’s get to it! 1. How do I categorize a credit card payment? Great question! Let’s take a look. You can categorize credit card payments in QuickBooks Online manually using the Pay down credit card function. This is how: Click the + New button. Choose Pay down credit card. Select the credit card you made the payment to. Enter the payment amount and date of the payment. Select the bank account you paid the credit card with. If you made a payment with a cheque, select I made a payment with a check and then enter the check number. Hi, QuickBooks Community! The deadlines for filing payroll taxes are fast approaching. So I’m here today to talk to you about Form 941, the Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return. If you paid wages subject to employment taxes with the IRS for each quarter by the last day of the month that follows the end of the quarter, you’ll need to file this form. Employers use Form 941 to report income taxes, Social Security tax, or Medicare tax withheld from employee's paychecks. They also use this form to pay the employer's portion of Social Security or Medicare tax. The April 30th due date is coming up, so it’s important to know what steps of the process Intuit does for you when it comes to filing. When using QuickBooks Online Payroll Core, Premium, or Elite, QuickBooks will automatically handle your payroll taxes unless you choose to disable this feature. You can verify that automatic filing is enabled or disabled by going to your account settings and choosing the Payroll settings tab,

#1 You must file IRS Form 941 if you operate a business and have employees working for you. Don’t panic! That’s why we’re here to make sure you have all the information you need to know before any deadlines approach. As an employer, you are responsible for withholding federal income tax and other payroll taxes from each employee’s paycheck and remitting it to the IRS. Every Form 941 that you file reports the total amount of tax you withheld during the quarter.
