why can't I enter a Dec 2023 bill for 'cost of sales' with GST 8% Tx in Jan 24? I stll have the 8% Tx in the 'GST Rates' page. Also removed the default 9% Tx for cost of sales

Currently, we have an ongoing investigation about being unable to add the GST 8% to your December 2023 bills. Please be assured that our engineers are working diligently to resolve this problem.

I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team so that you'll be added to the list of affected users. This way, you'll receive email updates on the investigation's status and be notified once it's been resolved. I've included the steps to contact support below. 

1. Go to the Help (?) icon at the top.
2. On the Assistant tab, click Talk to a human.
3. Enter INV-97845 in the Type something field, then click the Send icon.
4. Click on I still need a human.
5. Select Get help from a human.
6. You can either select Chat with us or Have us call you.
