Hello, Sally69.

I understand that you have noticed a change in the availability of the 9% GST rate in QuickBooks Online. Before March 1, 2024, the 9% GST rate is visible in the dropdown options, but it disappears after that date. Most common issues in QBO are usually a result of too much accumulated historical data. There are times when the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, which causes unusual behavior. Let's try accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once it's fixed, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This is done to help speed up your browsers in QuickBooks Online. Also, an alternative way is to use other compatible browsers. This will help us determine if the issue is specific to your browser.

Hi,

I also face the same issue. I have tried to use an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. But the outcome is the same. I also cleared my cache.  Any expense invoice entered into QB in the GST dropdown box ONLY shows Out of scope. I can't select or manually key 9% TX.

Pls Advice

Thanks for joining the thread and sharing the steps you've taken to address the issue, @Leon18.

Since you're still getting the same results, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online Team. They can review your account to know why the 9% GST rate isn't showing on the drop-down and provide you with a solution.

Here's how to connect with them:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. Click either tab to get started: Assistant or Talk to Human.
  4. Search Contact Us,  then Start a chat with a support expert.

Please ensure to review their support hours to know when agents are available. This way, you can contact them at a time that is convenient for

you.
