Question

Why would sales on the dashboard be less than sales in the P&L? I am comparing on same basis (accrual) and same period.

Good day, Accounts46.

I'll provide you the reason why the sales graph amount is lesser than the Profit and Loss report.

The sales graph in the dashboard is based on the sales transactions (invoices and sales receipts) for a specific period only. This doesn't include any journal entries posted to your income accounts and bank deposits. However, in the Profit and Loss report, it includes all of these transactions.
