Consolidating multiple desktop files into one online account

I have 10 separate company files in quickbooks desktop 2009. I want to move them all to one new quickbooks online online account separating them by class. What would the steps be to accomplish this, or is there a company that I can hire to perform this task?

Good day, @machoo. I’m glad to help manage your QuickBooks files.

Since you’re using QuickBooks Online (QBO) International version, you can utilize a conversion or importer tool to move all your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) files. You can go to your Apps menu to find a tool that works best for you.

Here’s how:

Open your new QBO account.
Select the Apps menu from your left pane.
In the Search field, enter Conversion/Importer.
You can select each app to view its features and reviews.
Select Get app now once decided.

If you have a different identification number for each company file, you’ll need to get 10 separate QBO subscriptions for each. This is to make sure your tax reporting is accurate.

Thank you so much! But one question. Why would i need multiple QBO subscriptions if I am consolidating all my desktop files into one QBO account separating the entities by classes? (instead of separate files)
