@acecouriersbb

You need to convert data from QB Desktop to QB Online Global version for Barbados, correct? You can purchase a 3rd party conversion service or use a migration tool.

Greetings, @acecouriersbb. I'm here to help convert files from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Converting QBDT data to QBO is only available for QuickBooks US, UK, and Canada versions. Ensure you have any of these versions to achieve this.

Before doing so, I recommend checking this article to learn more about what data will be converted to QBO: Import Data Conversion to QuickBooks Online - Frequently Asked Questions.

However, to convert your data, I recommend creating a backup copy of your old version of QBDT and converting it to the latest version. That way, you can import your file to QBO. Let me guide you on how:

  1. Download and install a trial version of the latest QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. On the software, go to File menu.
  3. Select Open or Restore Company.
  4. Click Restore a backup copy.
  5. Find and open the backup copy of your data.
  6. Select Open.
  7. Click Save.

Once done, go to the File menu and select Copy Company File for QuickBooks Online under Utilities. For more details about the process, you can refer to this article: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online. Please see the screenshot below for visual preferences:

Let me also share this link for reference on how to handle the situation in case you run into some errors when converting your company data.
