Hello, uservazquez.

I'll show you how you can include your account or data for importing.

I take it that you're trying to import your Chart of Accounts to QuickBooks Online. In this case, you'll want to use an Excel or CSV file then prepare the following three-column format:

  • Account Name
  • Account Type
  • Detail Type

After preparing the spreadsheet, you can start importing it to QuickBooks Online:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then choose Import data.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts
  3. Browse for your Excel or CSV file, then hit Next.
  4. Map your columns with QuickBooks' fields, then follow the prompts to successfully import your data.

If you need more details with the process, you can check out this account: Move your chart of accounts to QuickBooks Online.

Alternatively, you can always create a new account:

  1. Go to Accounting, then click the Chart of Accounts tab.
  2. Click the New button.
  3. Choose the Account and Detail Types for your account.
  4. Add a name and balance.
  5. Once done, click Save and Close

If this isn't the case, are you looking to import other data? If so, you can check this article for guides on importing other lists: Move your lists to QuickBooks Online.
