Question

I am trying to import the bank statement by using csv file, and I am not sure why the date cannot import properly. It showed 1/1/1970, please advice.

I can help you import bank transactions to your QuickBooks account showing the accurate dates, crystalkclau.

In QuickBooks Online, importing CSV files of your bank entries requires additional fine-tuning with the file formatting. With that, I suggest reviewing the transactions on your financial statement and making sure the correct dates are recorded.

Then, ensure all date and data formats on the CSV file are accurately formatted using the 3-column and 4-column formats.

When uploading the file, I recommend checking the Import bank transactions page details and verify all the dates are in recent entries. I'm also including a screenshot below for reference.

Once everything comes in handy in the future, prepare to review and categorize them from the For Review section.

I don't know if this will be helpful to you but I just solved a similar problem. I had just one transaction in my .CSV that was showing up once imported in QB as 01/01/1970 (should be 18/05/2024). I copied the specific transaction into a .TXT file, with the same formatting as the .CSV, and imported that just like the .CSV. It then showed the correct date in QB. I hope this helps.
