Hi, Finance.

Let's make sure that your file is formatted correctly, so we can successfully import your journal entry.

First off, what specific information is missing on your Journal Entry? Providing this will help me provide a more targeted solution.

In the meantime, please make sure that the following information are included in your spreadsheet as these are the required ones:

  • Journal No
  • Journal Date
  • Journal Code
  • Account Name
  • Journal
  • Debits
  • Credits
  • Date Format

If your spreadsheet includes any new accounts, kindly ensure they are added to your chart of accounts prior to importing.

Furthermore, when the Warn me if duplicate journal number is used option is enabled in the settings, you won't be able to upload some entries with existing numbers. Let's turn off that preference before importing the file. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Account and settings.
  3. Head to the Advanced tab, then go to Other preferences.
  4. Turn off the Warn me if duplicate journal number is used option.
  5. Hit Save, then Done.
