Cannot do a search for Message on invoice (the old Memo field)

In old QBDesktop you could search the Memo filed of invoices. We always placed a description of the job here as we often used it to call up old previous invoices when a customer re-ordered the same job. But now when I search (advanced search) - Invoice - Memo - Value it does not find it.

We hear your concerns about this matter, accounts. I'm here to provide you with another way of searching your invoices.

 

Searching for an old invoice using the memo field is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO) for South Africa. However, you can use other elements of the invoice to narrow down your search. In the meantime, utilize the Description field of the invoice to input your notes.

 

Furthermore, you can run an invoice list report to see all the invoices and search for past invoices.

 

As for the memo field, you can send feedback directly to our engineers for them to analyze and add this to future updates. 

 

Here's how to send your request:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Tap Next to submit.

 

After your customer pays their invoices, you can then record them in QBO.
