Thank you, @jane91, for reaching out to the Community. I understand your current situation is not ideal, especially when emailing customers. I'll share some information and troubleshooting steps regarding the issue you are experiencing.

If your customers receive the emails and it will go to the spam section, advise them to check their email settings. It's possible that the email settings have marked them as spam, or they have created a rule that is causing the emails to be filtered. If they still cannot locate the sent email, you can change/reset your email address.

To update your email address in QuickBooks Online, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to Settings ⚙️ and select Account and Settings.
  3. In the Company section, click on Edit ✎ next to Contact info.
  4. Review each email address and make any necessary changes.
  5. Click Save and then Done to save your changes.

If you have completed the previous steps and cannot find the email, you can clear and re-enter your email address in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to refresh it. Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙️ and select Account and Settings.
  2. In the Company section, click on Edit ✎ next to Contact info.
  3. Clear the Company email field and enter the desired address without extra characters or spaces before, within, or after the address you enter.
  4. Click Save and then Done to save your changes.

To troubleshoot the issue further, you can send yourself a test transaction. If you still do not receive the email, try using a different email address with a different domain. For example, if you're using a Gmail email address, try using a Hotmail or Yahoo address instead.

If the first two solutions don't work, seek assistance from an IT expert. They can add the QuickBooks Online mail server hostnames and IP addresses to your outgoing mail servers allowlist. It will prevent your QuickBooks emails from being mistakenly marked as spam.
