Hi, Can receipts to a client that have been incorrectly allocated be reversed and how I reverse that and allocate correctly without causing issues. Thanks Nicky

Allow me to share insights about sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

 

If the sales receipt was already deposited, you can delete and recreate allocating to the correct client. However, if it's not deposited yet, you can just edit the client's name then save it.

 

To delete sales receipts simply go to the bank register from the chart of accounts.

 

Here's how:

 

1. Choose Accounting at the left panel.
2. Select Charts of Account.
3. Find the name of the bank where the created sales receipt has been deposited.
4. Click View register under Action column.
5. Select the sales receipt and click it to expand the page.
6. Hit the Delete button.
7. You'll be prompted with Are you sure you want to delete this transaction? Click the Yes button.
