Hello, frame. I'll share some insights about converting a sales quote in QuickBooks Online.

Quote/Estimate transaction is non-posting. There is no direct way to convert it to a Purchase Order, which is another non-posting transaction. You'll have the option to copy a quote to a purchase order. First, ensure to enable the purchase order feature.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and settings.
  2. Choose the Expenses tab.
  3. Select the pencil ✎ icon in the Purchase orders section.
  4. Turn on the Use purchase orders switch.
  5. Click Save, then Done.

Now, copy the quote to a purchase order. The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to + New and select Quote.
  2. Enter customer and product or service details. Then select Save.
  3. A dropdown choice of Create invoice or Copy to purchase order will appear next to the amount.
  4. Select Copy to purchase order.
  5. Choose a Supplier.
  6. In the Item details section, select the same customer used on the purchase order.
  7. Select Save and close.

You can get more information about the process in this article: Copy a quote to a purchase order.
