Hi there, @beverleymerle-gm.

Using an automated VAT feature can automatically do the tax calculations for your invoices and receipts. Once you switched to the automated sales tax, we're unable to go back to the old tax center. If invoices aren't calculating sales taxes, you'll want to make sure you've completed the setup process.

Here's how:

  1. Learn how QuickBooks calculates VAT.
  2. Inform QuickBooks where you collect sales tax.
  3. Apply tax categories to your products and services. The rules for how products are taxed can change depending on where you sell.
  4. Confirm your customers' information is accurate. Rates can also vary if you ship products or perform services at a client's address. You'll want to make sure each of their profiles has the correct tax status, billing address, and shipping address on file.

Once you've finished setting things up, you can start using Intuit's automated VAT feature.

You can always run the Sales Tax Liability report from the Reports menu. By doing so, you can check how much the sales tax you owe in QBO.

Post a comment below if you need anything else. I'll make sure to get back to you.
