How do I find a customer invoice if I don't have the invoice number?

I have the POD but am not sure whether the delivery has been invoiced. How do I check whether the invoice has been made out?

Hi there, userqasouthey.

 

There are a couple of ways on how you can verify if an invoice is already created or not. 

 

First, you can use the Advanced Search feature to look for an invoice or any other transactions in QBO. Let me give you the steps on how to do it. Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Magnifying glass icon in the upper-right hand corner, then select Advanced Search.
  2. Select Invoices in the first filter, then select Customers in the second line.
  3. Choose Contains or Equals in the third filter and select the name of the customer.
  4. Click Search

 

 

 

 

The system will look for all invoices that are associated to the name of the customer that you selected.

 

Second option is to run a Transaction List by Customer report. This will basically give you a list of all transactions that you created for the customer. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu and type in Transaction List by Customer in the Search bar.
  2. Click Customise and scroll-down to the Filter section.
  3. Check the box for Customer and select the name if the customer. 
  4. Click Run report.
