I have a automotive business. I need to add vehicle info on the invoice. how do do this?

I'd be glad to share some steps on how to add vehicle information on your invoices in QuickBooks. 

 

You can create custom fields to add these details to your invoices and other sales forms in QuickBooks Online (QBO). This gives you the flexibility to add custom data and drive insights through detailed reports. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and click Custom fields.
  2. Select Add custom field.
  3. Enter a name in the Name field.
  4. Check the All Sales forms box.
  5. To show the custom field on printed and delivered forms, turn on Print on form. Otherwise, it’ll only appear in QuickBooks Online.
  6. Click Save.


To manage all your custom fields, simply go to Settings ⚙ and select Custom fields. For additional info, you may check out this article: Add custom fields to sales forms and purchase orders in QBO.

 

Please take note that you can only create 3 custom fields on sales forms in QBO Plus and Essentials.
