If our Qb Desktop was moved to QBO, and we see that there are numerous issues, is it advisable to start a greenfields QBO?

Thank you.

Issues - debtors, product coding, duplicates. The "greenfields" means as if the business was starting as a new business.

You should start from scratch in QB Online and keep using QB Desktop to access your historical data for good.

What kind of numerous issues did you encounter? Who converted your data from QB Desktop?

The transition was handled internally. The other issue is that QB has always been used as an invoicing platform and not full accounting software. I am recommending that QBO is used as it has been designed.

Issues are related to chart of accounts, product details, Debtors book.
The reason to suggest the "greenfields" is to start fresh - and build from there, with the intention to ring-fence the "old" platform and set target to clear in 3 months.

The "new" system would be strictly monitored and not allowed to get to the situation that we now find ourselves in.
