Thanks for dropping by here in the Community, @tanya-wahl2wahl-. I'll help you proceed to create an invoice.

To isolate the issue, I recommend using the browser version of QuickBooks Online (QBO). To begin, these are the steps:

  1. On the left navigational bar, click on +New button and then select Invoice.
  2. From the Customer ▼ dropdown, choose a customer.
  3. Review the Invoice date. Then from the Terms ▼  dropdown, select the due date.
  4. From the Product/Service column, choose a product or service.
  5. Enter a quantity, rate, and change the amount if needed.
  6. When you're ready to send the invoice, select Save and send.

For more information about how to create invoices using the browser version, you can refer to this article.

If you're able to create an invoice using the browser version of QBO, it may be an app-related issue. You'll then want to make sure that your QBO mobile app is updated. If the issue persists, I suggest clearing the app's data to refresh it.

Mobile App:

  1. In your QuickBooks Online Mobile app, select the Gear icon.
  2. Choose the Refresh Data menu.
  3. Tap Yes.

For Android devices, here are the steps:

  1. Go to Settings and then select Apps.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Online and then click on Storage.
  3. Select Clear Data.

If you have an iOS device, the following are the steps to follow:

  1. From the Menu ☰, select Help & Feedback.
  2. Choose Refresh Data.
  3. Tap Refresh.

Additionally, I'll be leaving these articles to help you in the future:
