Please advise how to reset the correct order of chart of accounts

Allow me to provide some insights resetting the order of your account on the Chart of Accounts.

QuickBooks Online lets you sort your accounts using the following column headers:

You'll just need to tick on the arrow beside these headers, and it will change the order (ascending or descending) of your accounts.
