When I create an invoice it is not showing labour charge under description

when I invoice under product services labour under description not shown

I'll help you show the labour charge in the invoice description, @Brian Blomefield. This way, you can quickly check the details. 

 

Make sure the following details below to ensure the labour charge will show in the Description field:

 

  1. Item has a description. Let me show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Sales tab, then select Product and services
  2. Double-click the item and review the Description field. 
  3. Click Save and close

 

 

        2. The Include Description here box is checked in the Customs form style. Go as follows:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and choose Custom Form styles
  2. Click the appropriate template in the list. 
  3. Select Content. 
  4. Click the pencil icon and check the Include Description here box. 
  5. Hit Done

 

 

         3. You use the correct template when creating the invoice. Follow the steps below: 

 

  1. In your invoice form, click the Customize tab in the lower part. 
  2. Check the appropriate template. 
  3. Click the Print or preview button to review the details. 

 

Once confirmed and the issue persists, I'd recommend logging your account incognito mode. This way, we can check if it's a browser-related issue. Sometimes, too much cache build-up in your regular browser can cause unexpected behavior in QuickBooks. 

 

Refer to the keyboard shortcuts below:

 

  • Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox)
  •  Control + Option + P (Safari)
  •  Ctrl + Shift + P (Microsoft Edge)

 

Once in,check the description field if the labour is already showing up. If it's now visible, please return to your regular browser and press the CTRL+ Shift and Delete keys on the keyboard to clear the cache.
