Hello there, @adilam.

When you activate the tax feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO), your VAT ID/number is displayed on your invoice's header section. I'll show on the said section unless it's deactivated from your template. With this, you can go ahead and check your sales forms content to verify. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Custom form styles.
  3. Locate the template, then select Edit under the Action column.
  4. Choose the Content tab, then click the Header section to open its contents.
  5. Go to the Display section, then make sure the VAT Registration No. box is checked.
  6. Click Done.

I've attached a screenshot below that shows the last three steps.

When the VAT Registration No. box is checked but still it isn't displayed in your invoices, I'd recommend logging into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser (incognito) to isolate the issue. Once your VAT number shows on your invoices, return to your default browser and clear your cache and cookies. This is to refresh the system and remove older data that causes the system's viewing and performance issues. However is the issue persists, you can use other supported browsers.

We've updated the VAT feature in accordance with the South African new rate to ensure a smooth tax year-end for you. To answer the most frequently asked questions about it, kindly refer to this article: VAT Feature Update FAQ.
