Altering data in the Sales Price/Rate field of a Products and Services record.

Greetings,

I am in the Philippines using QBO Plus version.  I am entering inventory records for a motorcycle parts business.  I don’t know the Sales Price yet so that field is being left blank.  I read about a Beta Price Level function that would allow me to have pricing at some percentage over cost but I don’t see it as an option on my plan.  Do I have the wrong plan?  Do I have a version (Philippines) where it is not available?  Can someone please help me avoid having to change thousands of records other than one record at a time?

 

p.s.  I have over 25 years of QB Desktop experience so I understand the basics of this program.

I'd be glad to share some details about the Price Level feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

This functionality helps business owners charge different rates by item. However, this is only available in selected regions such as the United States and Canada. It is the reason why you aren't seeing this option in your account, not because you have an incorrect plan. 

 

As a workaround, I recommend manually entering the appropriate rate when creating an invoice. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the + New button.
  2. Select Invoice.
  3. Enter all the necessary invoice details, then manually enter the price in the Rate column.
  4. Click Save and close or Save and send.

 

Alternatively, you can manage the prices of your products and services by integrating a third-party inventory management app into your QBO. To do so, please follow these steps:

 

  1. On the left navigational bar, go to Apps.
  2. In the search bar, Inventory is your keyword.
  3. Click the Search icon.
  4. Then, choose a third-party app that's suitable for your business needs.
