Can I bulk load category & supplier details for inventory items? I need to import 2000+ products and want to automate this rather than go into each product individually

Hi userstaff,

 

Yes, you can import inventories in bulk with expense accounts and other details. However, supplier information is not included in this option at this time.

 

You can download the sample file when you click on the Gear icon, and choose Import data. Then, select Products and Services, and click Download a sample file to see the information you can only upload.

Hi - thank you - I am aware of the import details you provide - it is specifically the supplier and category details I need to have included with each product that I am enquiring about.  Specifically as mentioned I need to add to 2000+ products and need to have the supplier and category for each included .  Can you please let me know how to do this, other than going into each product, in the edit section of the products and service list and adding manually.  Thank you

I understand that you want to include the supplier and category information when importing products to QuickBooks Online. While this option isn't available, you'll want to look for a third-party app that can be integrated into QuickBooks and has the feature you need.
