Welcome to the Community, Eve.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) does not support customizing payment receipts. Let me share with you some alternative methods to include additional information in your receipts.

Customization options are currently available only for invoices, estimates, and sales receipts within the program. In the meantime, you can utilize the Memo field to add details when recording the payment.

On the other hand, you can also create and send a customer Statement, which will display the invoices, payments, and the customer’s current balance for a specified date range.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Sales, then Customers.
  2. Choose the customer you want to make statements for.
  3. Click the New transaction dropdown and then Statement.
  4. Select the statement type you want to create.
  5. Pick the Start date and the End date.
  6. Double-check the customer’s email address.
  7. Hit Save and send.

I recognize the potential benefits this feature could bring to your business as well as to the overall functionality of the program. To ensure your valuable insights are considered, I recommend submitting feedback to our Product Development team. This will not only help in improving your experience but also contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QuickBooks Online.

To send a feedback, see the steps below:

  1. Go to Settings and select Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Click Next to submit feedback.

Additionally, for guidance on viewing all unpaid invoices and statement charges with customer totals, refer to this article: Run an open invoice report.

Ensuring your receipts meet your expectations and that your clients have access to all the necessary information is of utmost importance. If you require further clarification on the process or have any additional queries about customizing your payment receipts, feel free to leave a comment below.
