Question

Can I invoice 2 customers? Or make 2 people as 1 customer? In a school business we bill the mum and dad who have separate info: 1st name, 2nd name, phone no.'s, email etc

Especially to be able to send the automatic emails. It should say e.g Good Afternoon Mr Ross & Ms Catherine.
Kindly find the invoice for this terms...
So how can this be done?
Basically, can I invoice 2 customers the SAME invoice

Good day, @splendidwangari.

Let me share with you some steps to help accomplish your task in QuickBooks Online.

Yes, you can invoice two or more customers in QuickBooks. Although, creating two customers under the same profile is unavailable in the program.

As a workaround, you can create the other customer as a sub customer. This way, they would fall under the same customer company. Here's how:

  1. Go to Get paid & pay and select Customers.
  2. Click New customer, then enter the sub-customer’s name and contact info.
  3. Select the Is sub-customer checkbox.
  4. In the Enter parent customer dropdown, choose the parent account.
  5. Review each section and enter any info you need for the sub-customer.
  6. Click Save.

In addition, invoicing two customers using the one invoice is unavailable in QuickBooks. You'll have to create separate invoices to record your customers' transactions with the same details.

You can also personalize your invoices. You can decide what info your customers see or add the info that matters most to your business.

Should you have further questions about managing your invoices, let me know in the comment section. I'm determined to help you succeed. Have a lovely day.
