Can I record a payment to supplier with my inventory items?

I used inventroy material to do some work for the supplier. he charged me for advisory services for work done for me.

We want to help you with your concern about recording a payment in QuickBooks. We need more information about your goal with entering the transactions.

Are you charging the supplier for the inventory items and your service too?  Are you charging the supplier with the inventory items in exchange for the advisory services? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
