Question

Can't use edited receipt template. After I did editing the receipt template, it doesn't show the change when I print it. I am not using Airy New as its style.

I tried a lots of way but couldn't use the edited sales receipt template. I want to show the product description on it, which can be chosen to show when I editing its template. But after I did the editing, it changed nothing and keep only showing the invoice date and payment amount.

No matter what form style you're using, the sales receipt template should show the product description as long as it's set up for the Customer form Styles settings, @userchan-sankit. I want to ensure you'll be able to use the modified template and print your transactions accordingly.

To get started, please make sure to tap the Done button after making any edits to your template to save the changes.

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon, then  click on Custom form styles under Account and settings.
  3. Select the template, then tap on Edit under Action.
  4. Make the necessary updates to your template.
  5. Hit Done to save your edits.

When recording your sales receipts, please make sure to use the correct template from the Customise tab to print them with product descriptions.

If you're getting the same result, I recommend performing the steps using a private window. This way, we can check if the issue is within the browser you're using.

To save you time, use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P

If it works fine, I recommend going back to your original browser and clear its cache to start fresh. You can also use another supported and up-to-date browser to narrow down the result.
