Question

Can we define use role to restrict the particular user just to add the invoice but can't edit or delete it ?

I've seen some training videos in which administrator can restrict the users not to edit/delete the data through user role. However, haven't find that user role tab at my current manage user screen.

Hi shaz417,

 

You may have watched a tutorial for QuickBooks Online Advanced - US version. With the QuickBooks Essentials and Plus versions, you're unable to restrict user access to what's needed. 

 

Once you add a standard user that is limited to customers, they can add, edit, and delete any customer-related transactions. I've added this reference as your guide in managing user roles: User roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online.
