Can we link calculate the freight and customs charges along with the cost of goods and link the same to the payables?

Linking the freight and customs charges to the cost of goods is unachievable in QuickBooks Online, Lionel2.

I can see how this option can be beneficial to your business. I recommend sending your ideas to our product developers. This way, they can review and may add them to their future product enhancements. 

For the time being, here's what you can do as a workaround. You can add freight and customs charges to your sales forms by creating them as service items.

1. Go to Settings and choose Products and services.
   
2. Click New, then select Service.
3. In the Name field, enter a name for the service.
4. Click on Save and close.
   

Then, include the newly created item in your invoices/sales receipts. This allows you to add up to the individual cost of goods.

Alternatively, you may also consider looking for a third-party application to automate this in QBO. For guidance on what app to use, you can go to the Apps menu in your QBO account and browse for one that suits your business needs.
