Can you tell me why my sales receipts are not showing on the customer balance detail?

Thanks for your time checking this with the Community. I can share a report that will show Sales Receipts in QuickBooks Online. 

 

The Customer balance detail report will not show a sales receipt because it will show the balance of the customers or the account receivable. 

 

Instead, you can open the Sales by Customer Detail report. You can filter this report to only show the sales receipts. 

 

Here are the steps: 

 

  1. From the left menu, go to Reports.
  2. Type Sales by Customer Detail in the search box. 
  3. Choose the Report period, and select the Customize button.
  4. Click Filter to expand, and tick the check box beside the Transaction Type. 
  5. From the Transaction Type drop-down list, choose the Sales receipt. 
  6. Once done, hit the Run Report
