Chart of Accounts on Invoice Lines

Hi,

 

I am looking to assign a Chart of Account to each individual Invoice Line and also have the Invoice display the Chart of Account each line is assigned to.

I would like to achieve without the use of a Product/Service.

Is this possible?

I can share some information about how the Chart of Accounts and invoicing works in QuickBooks Online.

 

In QuickBooks Online, it isn't possible to directly assign a Chart of Account to each individual invoice line without using a Product/Service feature. The chart of accounts is usually associated with the overall financial categorization of accounts, such as assets, liabilities, income, and expenses.

 

You can, however, look for a third-party application that will allow you to create invoices with the chart of accounts from QuickBooks Online in each line item. Use this link to look for one: Apps help QuickBooks run better.

 

You can also consider recording a bank deposit to directly track income in each specific account in your chart of accounts. You can use this link as a reference: Record and make bank deposits in QuickBooks Online.
