You don't need to worry about customizing your sales invoice, Sakthi. Let's review the template created to ensure that custom fields will show up when printing invoices.

You'll want to review the custom fields like Quantity, Rate, Amount, and Tax in your invoice template. One reason could be that the missing fields haven't been added to the template yet, or you choose another template when creating the invoice.

Here's how to check the template setting of your invoice:

  1. Go to the Gear icon. Choose Custom Form Styles.
  2. Locate the Default invoice template.
  3. Tap the Edit under Action.
  4. Under Content, click on the template.
  5. Under Columns, make sure you mark check the fields you want to include in your invoice.
  6. Click Done.

You can also review the invoice created and click the Customise button below to check what template it uses. For more details about customising your sales forms, open this article: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Also, the outdated stored cache can affect the performance of the program. I recommend accessing your account using a private window. This way, we can determine whether this is a browser cache-related issue.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

If the custom fields show when printing invoices, clear the browser's cache. Doing so deletes all the data from your browser and optimizes its performance. You may also use other supported browsers as an alternative.
