Good evening I fixed a client statement on Quickbooks, the journal entry gave the right balance but it says Journal entry on the client statement per attached. Is it possible to change the narrative to "payment" instead of it saying "journal entry number 9"? Thanks for your help.

Hello there, @773515. I know how important for you to modify the statement description. I'm here to share information about customer statements in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QuickBooks Online, the description that will reflect on your customer statement will depend on the data that you create. Since you're using the Journal entry it will also automatically appear in your statements. That being said, you're unable to modify the "Journal entry number 9" to "payment".

As a workaround, you can export it to excel to modify the statement's description before sending it to your client. Let me guide you through the steps:

  1. Go to the Sales menu, and select All Sales.
  2. Click on the Filter drop-down arrow.
  3. Select Statements as the Type of transaction drop-down.
  4. Set the date range and any other filters you need, then select Apply.
  5. Click on the Export to Excel icon.

For more information on exporting lists in QBO, please refer to this article: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online.
