Question

Each time I make an entry, QB crashes. I need to close and reopen, after one more entry, repeat. Anyone else with the same issue??

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, @userbrian4.

I have checked our records and haven't found any reports about QuickBooks Online (QBO) crashing whenever making an entry.

Usually, a system crashes when there's too much cache data stored on the browser you're using. To resolve this, you can start by opening QuickBooks using a private window and work with your file from there.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

Once logged in, make an entry again. If your QBO account no longer crashes, let's clear the cache of your regular browser so it'll function efficiently. Otherwise, you can use a different browser to get the best and most secure experience with QBO.

If you need tips and related articles on your future tasks, I recommend visiting our Community Help page to help manage your QBO account, income, expenses, and banking.

You can count on me if there's anything else you need. Keep safe always, @userbrian4.
