EU VAT on invoice Header

I have looked through many posts, but there seems to be no coherent answer to a very simple issue:


EU VAT Registered businesses are legally obligated to show their VAT registration number on intra-sales.

Currently, the invoice options in the header allow us to show:
Business Name:
Phone
Email

Company Registration Number
Business Address
Website

 

but not VAT Registration Number...And no, VAT Reg is not the Company Reg number (as "answered" in previous posts).

 

So - can someone please answer me  how to simply add our VAT number to the invoice header?

Joining the thread to share insights about customizing sales transactions.

 

Currently, the option to add the VAT registration number on the sales transactions is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. I understand that you're required need to include this information on the invoices that send to your customers.

 

Please know that we always take our customers' requests and ideas into consideration when prioritizing feature development. To help improve your experience in the program, I recommend directly sending feedback to our Product Development Team. Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments and product suggestions.
  4. When you're done, click Next to submit feedback.

In the meantime, you'll want to consider visiting our QuickBooks App Market to find a third-party invoicing app that best your business needs. You may follow these steps in searching the app within your QBO account:

 

  1. Sign to your company file.
  2. Select Apps from the sidebar menu.
  3. Go to the  Find Apps tab.
  4. Enter a keyword in the search bar or click the Browse category button to filter the results.

This is critical issue for all VAT companies in EU, do you have it solved or still offering people to go to App Marketplace, maybe you will offer one of your competitors?

I agree that having all the necessary information in sales transactions is crucial. Let me chime in and share information about the feature you need in QuickBooks Online.

 

As of now, there's no update yet about being able to add another field in the header part for the VAT registration number. The only workaround is to utilize the footer text (see screenshot below).

 

 

I know the importance of having all the needed features in a single software. Our product engineers are diligently working to improve the features and options, including invoice customisations.

I highly recommend sending feedback about the missing field directly to our engineers. We also make changes to the product based on user feedback. Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Feedback under Profile.
  3. Share your feedback.
  4. Hit Next to submit.
