Question

Hello dear, 1. How to enable Unit Of Measure? 2. How can I set Costing Method to Moving Average? Meaning cost updated automatically from the PO price. Thanks,

Thanks for posting to the Community, @info-alshabibtra.

Currently, enabling Unit of Measure is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. I know how important it is to define a quantity. In the meantime, I recommend submitting feedback to our product developers.

This way, they'll know that this is crucial to your business and might add this functionality in future updates. Just click the Gear icon and then select Feedback. From there, enter your product suggestion and hit Next once you're done.

On the other hand, I suggest submitting your feedback as well about setting a moving average costing method since QuickBooks Online uses the First In, First Out (FIFO) concept for inventory cost accounting. In addition, you can consider using a third-party application to help you to update the cost automatically from the PO price.

Let me know if you have additional questions about setting up inventory items. I'll get back to help. Stay safe and well.

Thank you for the update, I already submitted feedback.

Something I have to say, costing method and unit of measures should be available as basic features, I am going to cancel my account and move to another company unfortunately.

Thank you.

Where is your company located?

What kind of business do you run? A manufacturing company or else?

The UoM feature is only available on QB Desktop Premier and Enterprise. You need to use a 3rd party app to integrate with QB Online. Afaik, this feature is also not available in other accounting applications that are the same class as QB Online.
