Hello. Is it possible to change to point of sale version from online?

Hi, Barbara. Currently, QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS) is only available with QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). Let me share some details about this product version.

QuickBooks Point of Sale, which was available exclusively in the US and integrated with QuickBooks Desktop, was discontinued on October 3, 2023. See this article for more details: QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sales discontinuation. Currently, the available option is a US-based integration between Shopify POS and QuickBooks Desktop. Additionally, please note that while you can export your data from QuickBooks Online, migration directly to a point of sale system is not supported. To migrate it, you can use a third-party application to migrate your QBO data to a point of sale version.

Alternatively, if there's a point of sale version available in your country, you can go to the Apps menu and look for it or try another third-party app that can provide you with the same functionality. Here's how:

1. Navigate to the Apps menu and choose Find apps.
2. Enter 'point of sale' in the search field.
   
3. Click the application to see its ratings and features.
4. Click the Get app now button once you have made your choice.

If you want to cancel your QuickBooks Online account, navigate to Settings in the upper right corner, select Billing and Subscription from the Profile menu, then go to the QuickBooks plan frame and click Cancel.

Upon account cancellation, you can access your account in a read-only mode, but you cannot create or make changes. Should you choose to resubscribe within a year, your data will remain accessible, and you will be charged the current price minus any months when the account was canceled.
