Hello, My quickbooks was linked to my website using a onesaas connector and now I am having inventory start value for each item.How can I delete the inventory start value

I've got you covered, @userjharnakaram.

 

QuickBooks only allows you to adjust the starting value of each item instead of deleting them. To do so, you can go to the Products and Services menu and change the starting value of each item from there. Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click Sales from the left menu, then select Products and Services.
  3. Find the inventory item with the starting value and click Edit under the Action column.
  4. In the Product/Service information window, click the Starting value link. Then, click Got it.
  5. On the Inventory Starting Value page, change the amount to 0 in the Initial cost field.
  6. Click Save and close.
  7. Repeat the steps for the rest of the items.

Hi Mark

 

Is there a quicker/faster way to edit the start quantity. I have nearly 1200 items with an inventory start value. The way you told me I am aware of it but the exercise is tedious. There is no way to do batch actions to delete these inventory start values?

The option to do batch actions to delete the inventory start values is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). We can only go to the Products and Services menu and change the starting value of each item. If this is something our engineers need to look into, you can submit product suggestions by following these steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top. 
  2. Choose Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Then select Next to submit feedback.
