Hi there, accounts192.

There's a line in the invoice that we can add to the template to reflect the tax-exempt status. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Custom form styles.
  2. Find the template you're using and click Edit.
  3. From the Content tab, select the Table section and check the Tax box.
  4. Click Done to save it.

Once done, make sure to select the Exempt GST under the Tax column when creating an invoice.

In addition, the best way we can add a field on the top of the invoice is to create a custom field. From the header section, select the + Custom field and enter a label/name. Then, when you create an invoice, you can manually enter a "tax-exempt" in it.
