Thank you for turning to the Community about your concern, molina.

Let's go over some basic troubleshooting steps to get the Chart of accounts option to show in the Account and Settings.

Your browser saves information from websites you visit, including login credentials, previous versions of the webpage, and so forth. This locally saved data is used rather than having to download it again. If there is too much of it, you may experience unexpected behavior in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Let's open your company in a private browser or incognito mode and head to the Account and Settings page from there. Then, go to the Chart of accounts section to activate the Enable account numbers function.

Here are the shortcut keys for each browser:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If you're able to see the Chart of accounts option in a private window, switch back to your regular browser and clear the cache and cookies to start fresh. You can also utilize another supported browser to determine if the one you're using is the issue.
