Hi, While updating inventory by importing from excel, i am not able to Categarise the inventroy, kindly help us how we can upload with Category inventory

When importing inventory with category, you’ll need to format your Excel file in a specific way. This makes sure your list imports correctly.

You can use this format [Name of category]:[Name of product/service] so they will carry over during the uploading process. I’ve attached screenshots for your visual reference:

1. In QBO, select the Gear icon.
2. Click Import Data and then choose Products and Services.
3. Select Browse and find your file.
4. Map your information. Your field represents the headers on your spreadsheet. From each drop-down menu ▼, select the one that matches in QuickBooks.
5. Press Next.
6. Select Overwrite all values for each product or service with the same name. Make sure everything looks correct because this can't be undone.
7. Click Import.
   
   
   

In case you see some cells highlighted in red, this means the cell is invalid. Check the cell in Excel and try again.
