How can I add sales invoice number in our company format

    Hello, info2072. Thank you for reaching out. I'm here to assist you in adding a sales invoice number in QuickBooks Online. Please follow these steps:

     

    1. Navigate to Settings and click on Account and Settings.
    2. Click on Sales, then click anywhere in the Sales form content section.
    3. Enable Custom transaction numbers. Click Save, and then click Done.
    4. Go to Sales, then click on All Sales.
    5. Open an invoice or any sales form.
    6. In the Invoice no. field, enter the custom number or letter sequence you would like to use for your forms. The sequence you set will apply to all sales forms.
    7. Click Save or Save and close.

     

    Note: Once you've set your custom invoice numbering, we recommend turning off the Custom transaction numbers option to prevent any unwanted changes to your numerical sequence. Disabling this option will hide the Invoice no. field from your sales form, yet the invoice numbers will continue to appear on the invoices for your customers.

     

    After setting up your custom invoice numbering in QuickBooks, it will continue to use the designated sequence. For security against accidental adjustments, it is advisable to turn off this feature. You can refer to this article: Turn custom transaction on or off.
